The bergamot and lemon provide clean geometry at first, but honeysuckle and peach blur those lines almost immediately, softening the structure into something warmer and unexpectedly tender.
What distinguishes this chypre is its floral density. Rather than allowing individual flowers to take solo bows, Andrier has layered lily of the valley's green, almost metallic sweetness with gardenia's creamy opacity and a magnolia that adds almost creamy whiteness. The iris and geranium inject a powdery, slightly spiced quality—not sharp, but distinctly present—whilst jasmine and ylang ylang amplify the sensuality without tipping into cloying territory. This is a bouquet that feels studied, architectural even.
