Tiziana Terenzi
A unique visual signature based on accords, character, and seasonality
A fierce, green-edged burst of star anise and absinth hits first, immediately brightened by the sharp citrus bark of Sicilian bergamot and grapefruit—it feels almost peppery and herbaceous, like crushing fresh mint alongside candied grapefruit peel. Within moments, that herbaceous intensity begins to soften, the green tea adding a slightly damp, organic quality that rounds the sharper edges.
By the second hour, the florals have fully blossomed: Bulgarian rose and jasmine absolute create a lush, almost creamy floral bed, whilst the fig note darts through like an unexpected twist of green-skinned earthiness. The iris brings a distinctly powdery quality to the entire composition, making this phase feel enveloping and intimate, with the orange blossom adding a delicate, almost skin-like warmth that makes the fragrance feel closer to your body than it did in the opening.
The base settles into a sensual, warm embrace dominated by heliotrope's almond-cherry sweetness layered over creamy sandalwood and musky vanilla blossom. The ambergris adds a subtle salty-mineral quality that prevents the composition from becoming purely gourmand, whilst the musk wraps everything in a soft, powdery veil. What remains is less a distinct fragrance and more a pleasant, creamy second skin.
Lince arrives as a peculiar collision between herbaceous aperitif and powdered floristry—a fragrance that seems caught between the bitter-green snap of an absinthe ritual and something far more voluptuous. The opening salvo of star anise and absinth creates an almost medicinal green quality, immediately tempered by the brightness of Sicilian citrus notes that arrive like morning light through frosted glass. This is where Paolo Terenzi's composition reveals its sophistication: rather than allowing the bitter herbs to dominate, he allows the grapefruit and bergamot to dissolve their edges, creating something almost ethereal and gossamer.
As the composition settles, a creamy-floral heart emerges that feels almost narcotic in its warmth. Bulgarian rose plays beautifully against fig—that dusty, jammy-green fig note lending an unexpected earthiness that prevents the florals from becoming saccharine. The orange blossom and jasmine absolute weave together with iris, which brings a silky, talcum-powder softness rather than the cooler geranium-like iris one might expect. This is unquestionably a powdery composition, though never dated or suffocating.
