The fig milk accord strikes first, oddly reminiscent of a Calisson d'Aix—that Provençal confection of almond and candied melon. Mandarin hovers at the edges, its citrus oils barely there, more suggestion than statement, keeping the creaminess from tipping into cloying heaviness.
Sandalwood finally emerges, but filtered through violet's powdery haze, creating something like sandalwood viewed through frosted glass. The wood's characteristic creaminess doubles down on the milky opening, whilst violet adds a lipstick-like smoothness, oddly cosmetic yet utterly wearable.
