A unique visual signature based on accords, character, and seasonality
The first spritz delivers an immediate hit of roasted hazelnut and concentrated espresso, dark and almost bitter, with cinnamon dusting everything like cocoa powder on a cappuccino. It's intensely gourmand, bordering on edible, with the coffee note particularly prominent and surprisingly realistic—more Milanese café than synthetic sweetshop.
As the coffee begins to soften, tuberose absolute emerges with its signature creamy, buttery opulence, creating an arresting juxtaposition against the lingering nuttiness. The jasmine sambac adds a clean, slightly green floralcy whilst coconut rounds everything into a smooth, lactonic haze that feels both tropical and somehow still Italian in its polished elegance.
Vanilla absolute dominates the base, rich and slightly caramelised, but the white musk keeps it from becoming too heavy, adding a soft, skin-like intimacy. The cedarwood remains subtle, a barely-there woody anchor that prevents the sweetness from floating away entirely, leaving a warm, musky-sweet veil that sits close to the skin.
Julie Massé has crafted a fragrance that captures the gleaming marble and gilt opulence of Milan's most famous arcade through an unexpectedly edible lens. The opening salvo of roasted hazelnut and espresso, laced with warming cinnamon, reads like a luxurious affogato enjoyed at one of the Galleria's historic cafés—rich, slightly bitter, and utterly indulgent. What could have been a straightforward gourmand takes an elegant turn when tuberose absolute crashes into this coffee-shop reverie, its creamy, almost narcotic floralcy creating a fascinating tension with the darker, nutty top notes. The jasmine sambac weaves through like expensive perfume trailing behind an elegant Milanese woman, whilst coconut adds an unexpected lactonic smoothness that bridges the gap between pastry counter and perfumery.
This is unabashedly sweet, but there's sophistication in how the vanilla absolute in the base doesn't simply double down on dessert—instead, it's tempered by white musk's clean skin-like quality and a whisper of cedarwood that stops proceedings from becoming cloying. The result feels like stumbling into Prada's original boutique in the Galleria, where the scent of fine leather goods mingles with the aroma from the pasticceria next door. It's for those who appreciate their luxury unapologetically sweet but rendered with a confident hand—someone who orders tiramisu without a hint of self-consciousness and wears cashmere like second skin. This isn't office-appropriate in the conventional sense; it demands leisurely afternoons and the freedom to leave a memorable trail.
