Vervain arrives as a grassy green whisper, establishing the herbal territory before lavender even enters the conversation, creating an impression of stepped-on grass and morning dew rather than soap.

As the citric oils fade, lavender finally emerges—not sweet, not powdery, but distinctly aromatic and slightly spiced by the sage that's been quietly building. Neroli softens the herbaceous edges with subtle orange blossom and a faint indolic warmth, whilst the woody notes (vetiver especially) begin anchoring everything, transforming the composition from pure greenness into something with actual backbone and sensuality.

The ambergris and tonka bean take over, creating a creamy, almost vanilla-tinged base that contradicts the opening's ascetic freshness. Lavender persists but now filtered through woody vetiver and warm amber, creating a soft, skin-scent projection that's less fragrance and more a sophisticated olfactory whisper—intimate rather than broadcast.
